Being active and building community is a core tenant of what we are about. If we do anything, we want to encourage you to turn off your computer, get on your bike and go for a ride. Our activities listed below are intended to make that easy, fun and rewarding.
Pit Stops – Pop up visits on trails and paths throughout Skokie periodically throughout the cycling (warm weather season). Look for us at the Skokie Farmer’s Market September 18th and October 9th.
Theme Rides – Group rides in an around Skokie promoting local businesses, activities, and attractions. In addition to the enjoyment of a group ride we learn bike friendly routes throughout the community.
Local Infrastructure Projects – Monitoring local developments that impact (mostly benefit) cycling. Keep tabs on developments in our community, participate in public comments, and encourage support for bike friendly projects.
Bike Route Bash – Consult this route library of the best ways to get to and from Skokie’s Backlot Bash (and Village Hall, the library, farmer’s market and other downtown Skokie destinations). Let us know if you have a favorite route to include among our suggestions.
Ok. Enough trolling, now get rolling! Enjoy! 🙂
